10-05 Cognitive Study
NIS Labs is looking for 4 healthy individuals over the age of 45 who are willing to participate in a clinical trial on a nutritional supplement.
During the 3 week study, you will be required to come to NIS Labs for a total of 15 visits. A milk-based nutritional supplement will be consumed during 4 of the 15 visits. Each arrow, on the graphic below, indicates a visit for each testing day. At each visit, you will sit quietly at a computer for approximately 45 minutes. During this time you will be performing a series of computer tests by interacting with a touch screen that measures reaction times and your ability to shift between different mental tasks.
Requirements
- Age 45 years or older
- 3 week commitment
- On time visits
- Healthy individual
Exclusion Criteria
- Pregnancy
- Use of recreational drugs
- Ongoing intensive medical treatment (cancer, viral disease)
- Use of antidepressants or hypnotics
- Allergies to milk
Participants will be compensated for their time.
Participants must reside in Klamath Falls or the surrounding area.
