NIS Labs is looking for volunteers to take part in a clinical trial
to assess the effect of a nutritional supplement on the immune system.
Potential study participants should in general be
healthy, but typically experience
some seasonal allergies, skin irritation or upset stomach from environmental
allergens (such as dust, pollen, smoke, latex and certain foods).
The
study requires participants to consume the nutritional supplement daily for 3
months, and to provide four blood samples and four saliva samples: one
each at study start and one each at the end of each month. Also, on each
of the four clinic days, study participants will need to complete a
health questionnaire.
Requirements
- Healthy, between the ages of 20 and 75 years of either gender
- Blood draws
- Experiencing some seasonal allergies
- Complaints of minor digestive health issues (heart burn, bloating, episodes of diarrhea, complaints about food insensitivities)
Exclusion Criteria
- Previous major gastrointestinal surgery (minor surgery not a problem)
- Taking daily OTC medications (NSAIDS, allergy medications, and others)
- Depressed or otherwise emotionally unstable
- Pregnant, nursing, or trying to become pregnant
- History of chronic viral diseases
- A vegan life style
- Food allergies related to test product
Participants will be compensated for their time.
Participants must reside in Klamath Falls or the surrounding area.
