26-02 Study on Anti-inflammatory Properties of a
Nutritional Supplement
Nutritional Supplement
NIS Labs is looking for healthy volunteers, age 18-55 years, to take part in a clinical trial assessing the anti-inflammatory properties of a nutritional supplement.
Potential study participants must have a BMI between 25.0 and 29.9. You can calculate your BMI here: BMI Calculator.
The study requires participants to consume the supplement daily for 4 weeks. At the beginning and at the end of the four week study, participants will come to NIS Labs to fill out a health questionnaire, record weight and blood pressure, and to give a blood sample.
Requirements
- Healthy, age 18-55 years of either gender
- Blood draws
- BMI of 25.0- 29.9
Exclusion Criteria
- Previous major gastrointestinal surgery (minor surgery not a problem)
- Taking daily OTC medications (NSAIDS, allergy medications and others)
- Pregnant, nursing or trying to become pregnant
- Use of recreational drugs
- Previous history of cancer and/or chronic viral diseases
- Currently experiencing gallstones
- Food allergies related to compounds in test products
- Problems swallowing medium-sized tablets and capsules
Participants will be compensated for their time.
Participants must reside in Klamath Falls or the surrounding area.
